Running and Jogging Get those sneakers on and hit the road – you’re about to give your body and mind the treat of their lifetime. The heart and lungs will love you for it! The old body will start tucking up here and there taking on a new look, that will even surprise little ole you. Running and jogging comes from the good old days, when men and women used their legs and body to motivate from place to place. There weren’t a lot options back than, so if you had some place to go and you were in a hurry to get there – you just cranked up the legs and ran. In today’s society, we have planes, trains and automobiles that pretty much take care of our traveling needs and our bodies have tried hard to adapt to little exercise, lots of food and our busy schedules without much success. Our bodies and minds crave exercise, but we’re just too busy to realize that our lives could be so much better if we’d kick the legs in gear several times a week and run or jog. Exercise is one of the solutions that will reduce obesity, improve your heart and cut down the tension and stress that we cope with daily. It’s important to ask your doctor before you set up a schedule for running or jogging. Don’t stress damaged joints or backs if you’ve been injured – opt for walking or some other form of exercise. But if you’re among the healthy take a leap of faith and put a little jogging in your life. In a few days, you’ll feel physically and mentally like a new person. Be sure your shoes fit and are appropriate for running and jogging, keep yourself hydrate and have some fun. It’s time to do something just for yourself, you deserve it. |
